1 Lost Rider, 3 Borders in 3 Days, and Country Number 7

So yesterday we crossed into Kyrgyzstan – country number 7 on our 8 country expedition. Yesterday was the third border crossing in as many days as the border lines are drawn like a child would scribble on a page in this area. It was:
1. bush camp, Uzbekistan to Khojand, Tajikistan
2. Khojand, Tajikistan to Kokand, Uzbekistan
3. Kokand, Uzbekistan to Osh, Kyrgyzstan

Theft, and the Ancient City of Samarqand

Another couple days of riding has brought us to another amazing city – historical Samarkand – which was one a several major stop over in the old Silk Trading routes.

Ferry Ride to a Dictator’s DisneyLand

Ferry Ride – Well with much running around and preparations and money we got the group onto the ferry that would cross the Caspian and take us into Turkmenistan.
